In Loving Memory of Gregory H. Streeter
Gregory H. Streeter, 66, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026,
surrounded by the family he loved so deeply. Born September 24, 1959, Greg
lived a life centered on family, hard work, community, and helping others.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the
Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday and 10am Tuesday until the time of the service at the
funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Above all, Greg was a devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend. At
the heart of his life was his wife, Kathy Streeter, his high school
sweetheart and partner of 48 years. Together, they built a life and family
that Greg was incredibly proud of.
Greg was a loving father to three children and a proud Papa to eight
grandchildren. He is survived by his son Joe Streeter and daughter-in-law
Caterina, and their children Joseph, Jaxon, Carson, and Cianna; his son Casey
Streeter and daughter-in-law Katie, and their children Kai and Sailor; and
his daughter Katie Ackert and son-in-law Kellen, and their children Brantlee
and Brooks.
His grandchildren brought him tremendous joy, and some of his favorite times
were simply being together as a family. Weekends at the lake house, hunting,
fishing, and time spent with his children and grandchildren became memories
they will carry with them forever.
Greg graduated from Atherton High School in 1977 and attended Baker Business
College. In 1978, he and his brother founded Streeter Brothers Concrete
Contractors. What began as a business between two brothers grew into a
lifelong career built on determination, long days, hard work, and a
commitment to doing things the right way. For the past 30 years, Greg had the
special opportunity to work alongside his son Joe, passing down the same work
ethic and pride that defined his own career.
That same dedication extended to his community. Greg coached youth football,
served for several years as president of Davison Youth Wrestling, was a class
sponsor, and served as a school board member. He believed in being involved,
giving his time, and showing up for the people and community around him.
Greg also had a special commitment to helping others. In memory of his
mother, Goldie Streeter, he was involved with the Breast Cancer Alliance,
helping raise funds for those battling the disease. He also supported the Old
Newsboys and their efforts to make Christmas possible for children in the
community.
Greg was a man who worked hard, loved his family deeply, and was always
willing to help others. He believed in showing up, doing things the right
way, and taking care of the people he loved.
Greg will be deeply missed, but the life he built and the example he set will
remain. His love of family, work ethic, generosity, and the countless
memories made together will live on through his children, grandchildren, and
all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Streeter, and his mother,
Goldie Streeter.
