LAWSON, Brenda, age 75, of Burton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, May 28, 2026. She was born on September 14, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Donald and Ione Herman.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Monday, June 1, 2026 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 1pm Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place.
On June 20, 1970, Brenda married the absolute love of her life, Bill Lawson, with whom she shared a beautiful and deeply devoted journey of nearly fifty-six years. Throughout her vibrant life, Brenda found immense joy in life's simple and beautiful pleasures. She could often be found riding her bicycle, tending to her garden, or baking a delicious, sweet treat for those she cared about. Brenda loved listening to Motown music. It brought her endless happiness.
Brenda’s greatest legacy remains the boundless love and care she held for her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Lawson; her son, Chad Lawson;
her grandchildren, Jake Jensen, Emjae Jensen,
her son-in-law, Mark Jensen,
her loving sisters, Fidelia (Mark)Notman, Helena Evans.
Alongside many special nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of dear friends who will miss her warmth and presence deeply.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jennifer Jensen, with whom she is now peacefully reunited.
