PALMER, Marion Theresa – of Grand Blanc, age 87, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at American House – Grand Blanc. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, March 2, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G–5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Msgr. Jerry Vincke and Rev. Fr. Roy Horning concelebrating. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10-11 AM Friday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Marion was born in Calumet, MI on August 16, 1930, daughter of the late Frank and Victoria (Bessolo) Brulla. She married Richard Allen Palmer, September 5, 1959 at St. Michael’s Church. Marion was very proud to be born and raised in the U. P. She was a parishioner at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Flint for 50 years and currently attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Blanc. Marion enjoyed crocheting and knitting afghans and slippers. She was a very good cook, especially her pasties. Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marion is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Theresa (Mark) Dyer of Holly, Joe (Colleen) Palmer of Grand Blanc, Donna (Tim) Gohs of Flint, Paul (Dawn LaRochelle) Palmer of Wyoming, OH; grandchildren, Rosanna (Mike) Navarro, Rachel (Katie Kring) Dyer, Ryan Palmer, Katie Palmer, Jordan Gohs, Cameron Gohs, Luke Palmer, Maddie Palmer; great granddaughter, Lillian Marion Navarro. She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Brulla.
