RICICA, Freida L. – of Davison, age 86, passed away December 8, 2014 at Regency at Grand Blanc. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, MI. Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
Freida was born in Bayport, MI on December 13, 1927, daughter of the late Jacob and Martha (Henne) Schwalm. She married Frank Ricica on October 18, 1952 in Sebawing, MI and he preceded her in death. Freida was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, formally of Second Presbyterian Church in Saginaw, MI. She was a Deacon, Trustee and an Elder and enjoyed playing piano for her Sunday school. Freida worked at Hubbard State Bank and at Wicks corporate offices in Saginaw then at Second National and Citizen Banks.
Freida is survived by her son, Frank Ricica Jr. and fiancé, Colleen Miller; two granddaughters, Megan Ricica and fiancé, David Kennedy, Lauryn Ricica; brother, Gale Schwalm of Caseville; brother-in-law, Hubert Newman of Essexville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Basil Schwalm; sisters, June Jensen and Eleanor Newman.
