Cotie, Vickie Lynn - age 70 of Burton, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris, Michigan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Vickie to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
Vickie was born on March 3, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to the late Hoke Lee and Nina Lou (Dawson) Smith. She graduated from Atherton High School and on August 31, 1996 she married Jerry James Cotie. Together they enjoyed exploring lighthouses, vacationing in NorthWest Michigan and garage sales. Vickie retired from AAA after 13 years of service and she had a passion for craft shows.
Surviving is her beloved husband, Jerry. Children, John (Shay) Tallent of Flushing and Tracy Porter of Pine Bluff, AR. Siblings, Luann Gross of Flint; Bobby Smith of Flint; Tony (Carol) Smith of Burton. Also surviving are grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl Smith.
