She was born on September 25, 1932, in Durand, Michigan, and spent her entire life in the community she loved. Corinne was the daughter of Lester J. and Irene (Cords) Tyler. She was raised alongside her siblings in a home grounded in family, hard work, and community values.
A lifelong resident of Durand, she graduated from Durand High School with the Class of 1951. Following her schooling, Corinne became a familiar and respected presence in the local workforce. She worked for Redmond Motors in Owosso and later for Springworks in Corunna. In each place, she was known for her dependable nature, steady work ethic, and the kindness she extended to those around her.
Corinne was devoted to her family and to the community. She took great pride in being involved with the people and organizations around her, and she valued the friendships she built through the years.
She was an Eastern Star, and she found meaning in the fellowship and tradition that came with that membership. She was also a supportive member of the Tractor Club and the Eagles Club, where she shared in the companionship and community spirit that she enjoyed so much. Corinne especially loved spending time as a lifetime member of the VFW and the Shriners, where her presence and encouragement were appreciated by many. Her involvement in these organizations reflected her generous heart and her desire to remain active in the life of her community. Corinne loved to dance and is remembered for all the polka dancing she did in her youth.
Those who knew Corinne will remember her as a woman of grace, strength, and sincerity. She lived her life with a steady devotion to family, friends, and neighbors, and she carried herself with the kind of quiet dignity that leaves a lasting impression. Her life was rooted in Durand, and her connection to the town remained strong from beginning to end.
Corinne is survived by her children, Darrell Haddon and Brian (Dawn) Haver; grandchildren, Darrell Lester Haddon, Duanne Silver, David Silver, Chasee (Gavin) Bechtell, and Chasta Silver; several great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marilyn “Skip” Carl, Shirley Tattersal, Ellen Huey, Wanda Tyler, Paula (Bruce) Stephens; brother, Roy (Pat) Tyler; and many nieces and nephews will cherish her memory. She is also survived by her beloved companion, Scotty. She is also remembered by the many friends and acquaintances whose lives were touched by her kindness, her loyalty, and her steadfast presence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved first husband James Haddon and second, Noble Haven; her grandson, Daniel Silver; twin sister, Dorinne; and brother, Duane Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in her name to the Durand VFW.
