MILLER, Roland S. “Ron” – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held 12 PM Thursday, February 21, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin celebrant. The family will receive visitors for food and fellowship immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Ron’s memory.
Ron was born in Flint, MI on May 13, 1935, son of the late Sherman and Alice (Peppler) Miller. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1953 and has lived in the Davison area for 83 years. Ron married Dolores Harbus on March 22, 1957. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison, MI. Ron and his father, Sherman, owned and operated Miller’s Barber Shop for 56 years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and loved spending time in the outdoors.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Dolores; daughter, Melody Miller-Wasik; son, Loren “Scott” Miller; grandson, Joshua (Leslie) Wasik; 2 great-granddaughters, Brooke Wasik and Emma Wasik; brother, Loren (Minerva) Miller; many other loving family members and friends.
