WILLIAMS, Darwin Duane - Age 90, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 24, 2026. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and private services will be held. Those desiring may make contributions in Darwin's name to: Whaley Children's Center, 1201 N. Grand Traverse St., Flint, MI 48503 or Humane Society of Genesee County, G3325 S. Dort Hwy, Burton, MI 48529.
Darwin was born January 2, 1936 in Flint. He attended Flint Central High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life Judith Lee Hollinger May 9, 1985 in Mt. Morris. Darwin had resided in the Swartz Creek and Durand area for the past 20 years. He retired January 2001 from Whaley Children's Center as the Facilities Manager. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, building things, dancing with his sweetheart Judie his “only dance partner.” He loved spending time with family and friends at Wildwood and most of all being the best "Gampy" ever.
Surviving are: his daughters, Louann Hinton and Lynette (Mark) Whitten; son, Paul Williams; grandchildren, Anthony (Nga), Daniel (Britny), Parker (Olivia), Jillian, Dalton (Savanna), Jolee (Stephen), Gary (Kara), Sydney and Cameron (Ryan) and honorary grandchildren, Jordan and Amanda; great grandchildren, Taryn, Cade, Hadlee, Layla, Olivia, Jonah, Carter, Mason, Lyla, Summer and Maizey.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Judie, son Daniel Williams; and parents, Herbert and Loretta Schaedig. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
