PETER, Dorothy – Of Mt. Morris, age 83, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the
Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Bill Christensen officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Luncheon will be served following the service at Trinity Assembly of God Church, 4363 West Mt. Morris Road, Mt. Morris, MI.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born in Eaton, TN on May 6, 1931 and was a resident of the Flint area since 1943.
She married Robert Peter on July 26, 1975 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2006. She attended Trinity Assembly of God of Mt. Morris.
Mrs. Peter was employed by Troy Cleaners for 8 years.
Surviving are her five children, Linda Alexander of Mt. Morris,
Kathryn Paul and fiance' Bruce Hosie of Mt. Morris,
Beverly and husband Ed Egan of Montrose,
Dawn Pugh of Flint,
Shari Clymer and fiance’ Matt McClure of Clio;
numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
special friend, Dan and wife Georgeanne Richards;
many special nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Alexander, on July 6, 1975; daughter, Carolyn Alexander; grandson, Jeffery Pugh; her parents, Ernest and Corene Allen; sister, Pat Rogers; son-in-law, Bradley Clymer; nephew, Rodney Anderson; niece, Rhonda Anderson and special friend, Lyle Ackler.
