Sara Amy Wascher, born May 4, 1933, passed away on June 19, 2025 at the age of 92. Sara lived a long, full and fiercely independent life, marked by generosity, grit, and a deep love for her family, faith and hard work. Sara was a force of nature. A real spitfire with a sharp mind, strong will and behind that a soft heart. She gave tirelessly to her community with many volunteer positions and even into her 90’s lovingly knitted hats for the homeless, never asking for recognition. Sara was a woman of faith and a long time member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Her spirit will live in the hearts of the people who carry her fire forward. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Herbert Walter Wascher. She is survived by. Her daughter Lori (Jeffrey), her grandchildren Steven (Dana) Langs, Liz ( husband Daniel Swinney), Aidan and Lana Kate. A private service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make donations to the Genesee County Humane Society, G-3325 S. Dort Hwy, Burton, MI in the honor of her cat Buffy. |
