DELLING, William Frederick – of Flint, age 81, passed December 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus #4090 will be held at 6:30 PM Friday. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reverence Hospice or Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
William was born in Flint, MI on December 13, 1933 son of the late Clarence and Olive (Johnson) Delling. He married Patricia Plasha in Flint on July 13, 1957 and she preceded him in death on June 10, 2000. William was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Davison Knights of Columbus #4090. He retired from Buick after 46 years of service.
William is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Dennis Shinn) Delling Barbara Delling; grandchildren, Steve (Dawn) Campbell, Lisa Campbell, Michelle (Sylvester) Leonard; great-grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Gabriella, Zane; brother, Clarence. He was preceded in death by his son, William (Bud) Delling II in 1993; eight brothers and sisters.
