VOHWINKLE, Bryce Kenneth – of Flint, age 85, passed away October 6, 2015 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Friday, October 9, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Chris Glantz officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11AM-3PM and 5-8PM. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Bryce was born in Flint, MI on December 12, 1929, son of the late Arthur and Marguerite (House) Vohwinkle. He married Evelyn Lawrence on October 23, 1948 and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. Bryce was a Millwright at Fisher Body of Grand Blanc for 25 years. He loved old cars and enjoyed working on them.
Bryce is survived by his children, Cynthia (Joe) Paris, Catherine Gray, Curtis (Cindy) Vohwinkle, Christine (Jim) Campbell; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Terry (Yvonne) Vohwinkle, Carol (Jim) Mattoon; sister-in-law, Norma Vohwinkle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; brother, Hugh Vohwinkle.
