PORTER, Marjorie Ann (Botsford) – of Vassar, age 79, passed away October 29, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare – Saginaw. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday and 11 AM until time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marjorie was born in Flint, MI on April 26, 1940, daughter of the late James and Marjorie (Griswold) Botsford. She was born and raised in Genesee County, moved to Florida and then back to Michigan. Marjorie was a member of the Women’s VFW Auxiliary in Astor, FL. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, thrift shopping and was very patriotic. Marjorie was a Breast Cancer Survivor.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Norm (Sally) Porter; grandchildren, Gennifer (Jeff) O’Leary, Nicole Wells, Corey (Kelly) Porter and Kayla Wells; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Quinn, Kiah and Peyton; sisters, Martha (Tom) Shaw, Anita Sweat, Bonita Oakwood and Jamie (Jeff) Hall; brother-in-law, Benjamin (Karen) Porter; sister-in-law, Renee (Bruce) Croff; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Porter; daughter, Marsha Wells; brother, Jimmy Botsford and son-in-law, Jerry Wells.
