WOODS, Katherine Sophie – of Burton, age 91, passed away September 9, 2018 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Deacon Michael Martin officiating. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11AM – 8PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. A Memorial Service will be held, under the auspices of El Said Court #28, Wednesday at 7:30PM.
Katherine was born in Flint, MI on March 15, 1927, daughter of the late Frank & Nellie (Pietrusinski) Jozwiak. She married Robert Woods, Jr. in Flint on October 11, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2008. Katherine graduated from St. Mary Catholic School of Flint in 1945. She retired from Tuar Company and spent her winters in Florida. Katherine was a member of The Hillbilly Klan #55, Burton VFW Ladies Auxillary Post #2777, was an El Said Court #28 Rockette and loved spending time with her family.
Katherine is survived by her children, Jacqueline Finton, Georgia Woods and Gary (Heidi) Woods; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Jozwiak. She was preceded in death by daughters, Linda Arrand & Gwendolyn Woods; son-in-law, William Finton, Jr.; sister, Cecilia Flynn; brothers, Felix Jozwiak & Bernard Jozwiak
