SINGLES, Don L. – of Davison, age 65, passed away November 8, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, November 14, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday, 10 AM-1 PM & 5-8 PM Thursday and 10 AM until the time of service on Friday. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Don was born in Flint, MI on June 13, 1949, son of the late Jess and Rosella (Diem) Singles. He married Linda Blunt on September 6, 1969. Don worked for GM and retired in 2006. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Don enjoyed working on race cars with his two very special friends, Frank Lamp and Jim Nagy. He also enjoyed restoring classic cars.
Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda; children, Don (Marian) Singles, Jr. and Michael (Claudia) Singles; grandchildren, Reid, Kimberly, Bradley and Kaitlyn “Katie Bug”; sister-in-law, Janis; nephews, Jeff (Manas) and Brian; and close family friend, William Bouman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Doug and Paul; special pets, Odie, Mollie and Riley.
