Shirley Lucille Nail of Davison, age 90, went to be with her Savior Jesus on Sunday December 4, 2022. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday December 9, 2022 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with Rev. Frank and Joan Newvine officiating . Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon Friday until service time at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Shirley’s memory to Faith Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Breast Cancer Foundation.
Shirley was born in Flint Michigan on September 17, 1932 the daughter of the late: Walter and Bonida (Jackson) Watson and had resided in the Davison area since 2002. She was joined in marriage to Floyd Nail in 1981 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She loved her Lord and was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church. Her love of sewing was appreciated by many, she had taught Bishop Sewing Classes, made Cheerleading Uniforms for Bentley Schools, and even made Brides and Bridesmaid Dresses to name a few of her talents.
Surviving are children: Kenneth James and wife Yvonne Hutcheson, Karen Sue and husband Tom McDaniel, and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her siblings: James and wife Sandra Watson, and Mary and husband Larry Wright. Surviving also are her step children: Ronald Nail, Bruce and wife Mary Nail, Lynn Wilson, the father of her children Windford Hutcheson and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by son Larry Hutcheson, granddaughter Jennifer Hutcheson, and brothers: Robert Watson, Paul Watson, Ronald Watson, and Thomas Watson.
