THOMPSON, ROD ROBERT – Of Davison, age 57, died Thursday, February 6, 2025 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Gregory Timmons officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions toward Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025 and 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Rod was born in Flint, Michigan on August 16, 1967, the son of Leo and Janice (Frease) Stevenson.
On April 4, 1992 he married Kristy Mann in Davison.
Rod had many talents, passions, and hobbies and his love for his family was number one, on all three lists. Even after putting long hours in at his shop, he made sure to make it to every sports game, birthday party, or event that involved his loved ones. He was an avid outdoorsman, whether he was fishing or hunting he would do so with a quick one-liner and a smile on his face. He was a God loving, hard-working, family man who dedicated his life to his family friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a fierce and special force to be reckoned with. To know him was to love him.
Surviving are his wife, Kristy;
children, Kyle (Taylor) Thompson and Alexandria (Aaron) Prevo;
granddaughters, Leighton and Ryleigh;
and one grandson on the way;
parents, Leo and Janice Stevenson;
siblings, Deb Harrington and Mel (Kathy) Thompson.
