Judy Bell, 82, of Fostoria, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 with her family by her side. Judy was born to Frank and Luella Pettengill on June 8, 1941 in Flint, Michigan. She is a 1959 graduate of Kearsley High School. On January 23, 1971, Judy married her loving husband Murney Bell and was married for 48 years. She retired from the State of Michigan.
Judy enjoyed painting, collecting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She was quick-witted and many will remember her humorous side.
Judy is survived by sister: Tillie Ann Kotsko, Her children Vicky (Joe) Hayes, Julie (Mike) Rogers, Bob (Diane) Bell, Lance Bell. Steve Martin, Kim (Mark) Wilson, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and was mom to many. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Murney Bell, parents Frank & Luella Pettengill, brothers, Bill and Richard Pettengill and sister, Betty Cummings.
The family would like to thank Devonshire Assisted Living for the love and care they showed Judy over the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice.
The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Thursday, March 28, 2024, visitation will be 10:00 A.M. -11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with funeral service following at 11:00 A.M.
Pastor David Freeland will be officiating. Judy will be laid to rest next to her husband at West Deerfield Cemetery.
