DORRIS, Mabel Reed – Of Arcadia, Michigan, age 97, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Green Acres Assisted Living in Manistee.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden
officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mabel was born in Truman, Arkansas on December 24, 1917, the daughter of George W. and Ora McCormick.
She married Ulen (Pat) Dorris on September 4, 1937.
Surviving are daughter, Shirley and husband Woodie Roberson;
grandson, Dennis and wife Jana Simons;
granddaughter, Liza and husband Greg Gulliver;
great-granddaughters, Maggie and Katie;
great-grandsons, Josh and Kyle.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ulen (Pat) Dorris; parents, George W. and Ora McCormick; son-in-law, Paul Simons; three sisters, Opal, Hazel, Barbara Jean and great-grandson, Travis.
