Debra (Deb) Renna Frierson, of Flushing, passed away peacefully with her family and friends at her side on 2 June 2026. She was 71 years old.
Born June 9, 1954, in Ludington, Deb was the daughter of Carlyle and Carol (Marble) Wright.
On May 17, 1975, Deb married Thomas Frierson in Flint, Michigan. She worked many years as a bookkeeper at Webster Looby and Baumgarten Accounting Firm. Deb was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Deb had a love/zest for life, it showed in her relationships with her family, her peeps (group of life long women friends) and other amazing friends. Deb grew strength in relationship with others, especially her family and her grandson Mason. Deb loved the sunshine and the beach. She was dedicated to keeping herself fit through long walks in any weather, yoga and Zumba.
Debra is survived by her husband of 50 years Thomas Frierson; her daughter Casey Frierson James and husband Todd Jagielski; grandsons Mason James, Cody Jagielski and Bryce Jagielski; two sisters Suzette Jarman and Nanette Kelley and husband Brian; Her brother Kenneth Wright and wife Ann, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Steven and Kirk Wright.
Funeral services will be held on 5 June 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road Fenton, MI, with Pastor Tyge Zucker officiating, there will be family visitation from 11-12, public visitation from 12-3 with service starting at 3pm.
Interment will take place the following day, 6 June, in Ludington MI, at Lakeview Cemetery at 1:30pm.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Lapeer County medical facility ”Suncrest” for taking such wonderful care of Debbie.
