Kenneth Douglas Painter, 78, of Owosso, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at the Owosso Country Club on Saturday, October 25th from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Kenneth was born on December 31, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of John "Jocko" Painter and Amanda (Bacon) Painter.
He graduated from Cadillac High School with the class of 1965 and went on to attend Central Michigan University.
A passionate sport enthusiast, Kenneth was an avid golfer and, in his younger years, a scholarship tennis player. He cherished time spent on the golf course with his buddies at the Owosso Country Club. He was also a loyal fan of the University of Michigan as well as the Lions and the Tigers. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Above all, Kenneth was a devoted family man. His greatest pride was being a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
On February 27, 1971, Kenneth married the love of his life, Delores Pearson, in Lucas, Michigan. They shared more than 54 years together.
Kenneth worked for Northern Concrete Pipe as a sales representative and engineer/consultant, where he was respected by his colleagues for his dedication and expertise.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; his sons Chad (Lisa) Painter of Fargo N.D., Ryan (Laura Haynes) Painter and Troy Painter of Owosso; and his grandchildren A.J., Michael, Christopher, Noah and Ella. He is also survived by his siblings Bill (Bev) Knudsen, Jackie (Don) Nolf, Stacey (Tim) Tyler, Deborah Dark and Bonnie Painter; his sister-in-law Marilynn (Bill) Yarmak and brother-in-law Bill (Sandy) Pearson; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jocko" Painter and Amanda (Dorr) Knudsen; his sister Becky (Ray) Nicol; parents-in-laws Lial (Edith) Pearson; and sister-in-law, Paulette Pearson.
