Fitch, OmaJean E. of Flushing, age 86, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Saginaw, Michigan. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
OmaJean was born in Truman, Arkansas on July 1, 1933, the daughter of John and Edna (Glasgow) Armstrong. She married Junior D. “Ruddie” Fitch on June 9, 1951, in Flint. OmaJean was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. She also loved looking at photo books of her grandchildren and family. She was a member of Hopewell General Baptist Church in Flint.
OmaJean is survived by her three children, Duane and wife Margo Fitch of Wilson, North Carolina, Janet and husband Steve Ottarski of Saginaw, and David and wife Janice Fitch of Sterling Heights; grandchildren, Max, Adam, Adrienne, Candice, Amber, Nicole, and Brandon; seven amazing great-grandchildren; sisters, Virgie, Joyce, and Sheila; brothers, Chuck and Gary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruddie; her parents; and a brother, Earl.
