BISHOP, Ryan Patrick - of Montrose, age 26, died Monday, February 9, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations for his son and young family.
Ryan Patrick Bishop, 26, passed away on February 9th, 2026. Ryan was born on Good Friday in the spring of 1999 in San Bernardino County, California. Growing up in the states of Maine and Michigan, Ryan showed an early interest in heavy machinery and outdoor sports. As a child, Ryan's favorite activity was riding his bike around his house and making firewood deliveries in his gator. Ryan was a member of IBEW Local 876, employed by DuBois Electric as a groundsman and driver. Ryan also led his own business ventures operating his start up LLC “AG Tire Systems” Mobile Tire Repair. Ryan enjoyed being outdoors and working with his hands. Woodsy and mechanically inclined, Ryan could be found in the nearest shop fixing something that needed fixing or at the closest bonfire accompanied by his four-legged best friend Hank. Known for his kindness, Ryan never said no to someone in need. He would drop whatever he was doing to help. Dependable and gentle, Ryan was the man you wanted to call no matter the issue at hand.
Ryan met his fiance in their junior year of high school almost 10 years ago. Their love was unbreakable from the very beginning and they never wanted to be apart. Their love was goofy but serious, strong as an oak, unwavering as stone, and a love that could last a thousand years. If you saw Haley, you knew Ryan was not far behind. Together, they got a chance to see the world and shared many new experiences. If you asked, Ryan would tell you his proudest achievement was the recent birth of his only child Corbin Bishop (6 mo.) Celebrating in style, blue clouds from the smoked tires of Ryan’s Dodge Ram 2500 filled the southwest skies of Montrose Township to announce the gender of his child. Ryan and Haley’s child added so much joy and love to their lives that they did not know was possible. Ryan was an amazing father and has such high hopes and dreams for Corbin.
Ryan’s passing is a tremendous loss not only to his family’s lives, but in the Montrose community as well.
He is survived by fiancee and high school sweet heart of almost 10 years Haley Bruton and young son Corbin Bishop.
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Larry Miller, Uncle Patrick Miller, and Grandmother Sandra Bishop, Uncle Adam Bishop.
Ryan’s memory is carried on by Mother Susan Miller(Kevin), Father Jeffery Bishop (Georgia). Sisters Mackenzie and Emma Bishop. Ryan is also survived by an aunt and cousins. As well as family and friends of fiancee Haley Bruton.
