Woolworth, Juanita K. – of Clio, formerly Birch Run, age 96, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, December 29, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday at the funeral home from 4PM until 8PM and on Monday from 10AM until the time of the service.
Juanita was born on July 28, 1929, in Birch Run, Michigan to the late Barney and Pearl (McCrady) Curtis. Juanita was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many. Juanita graduated from Clio High School in 1948 and went on to live a life filled with love and laughter. She married her beloved husband Donald Woolworth on October 16, 1948 and together they embarked on a life of adventure and community engagement. Juanita worked at AC Sparkplug, Kresge, Smith-Bridgemans, and ultimately finished her career with Dr. Hollar’s dental practice. Her dedication and warmth made her an invaluable part of the lives she touched. A woman of unwavering faith, Juanita was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She and Donald proudly founded Michigan’s first chapter of Tails a Wagon for the NCHA/FCRV camping organization fostering a sense of belonging and joy for many. Juanita had an unquenchable zest for life, often seen dancing with the Flushing Roadrunners Square Dancers or enjoying sunny winters in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Juanita delighted in crafting, particularly Christmas crafts and ceramics, and relished the thrill of a good game of bingo. She found joy in simple pleasures, like sitting around a campfire surrounded by those she loved. Juanita was truly an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Surviving are: Children: Ronald (Jacqueline) Woolworth, Keith Woolworth and Korie Woolworth; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Kristopher) Krull, Matthew (Rachel) Woolworth, Elissa Woolworth, Heather (James) Adkisson, Kathleen Woolworth and Sierra (Robert) Tester; She was blessed with 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Donald Woolworth; Special friend, Ed Hollar and 3 Sisters and 1 Brother. |
