SHELLEY, Roger Grant – Of Clio, age 78, died Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his residence.
Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 West Court Street, Flint, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Visitation will be from 10am Saturday until the time of service at the church.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Roger was born in Flint, Michigan, on April 1, 1947, the son of the late Kenneth and Virginia (Brooks) Shelley.
Roger married Rosanda Kovachevich on August 4, 1969, in Flint.
Roger enjoyed having a garden, mowing the lawn, doing crossword puzzles, playing board games, fishing & swimming, cooking, loved music, watching westerns and telling stories. He was very outgoing and was quite the comedian and a salesman extraordinaire.
Surviving are wife, Rosanda; children, Roger Grant Shelley Jr., George Randall Shelley, Benjamin Andrew (Brandy) Shelley;
Grandchildren, Ryan (Tamara) Shelley, Nicholas Shelley, Ashlee (Jess) Gibson, Makenzie Rose (Shane) Hatton, Kyle Shelley, Dakotah Tarrant, Gavin Shelley, Maisey May, Brayden Shelley; many loving great grandchildren.
Sisters Patricia Shelley, Denise (Charles) Bowman;
Brother, Charles (Laurie) Shelley;
Sisters-in-law, Barbara Kovachevich, Christine (Charles) Hall, Janine Shelley;
Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Katrina Leone May, son-in-law, Martin May, brother, Kenneth Todd Shelley, Daughter-in-law Sandra Shelley, niece and nephew Candy Susie and Curtis Hall.
