MARSHALL, Cecelia I., age 84 and James D., age 86 – of Davison, passed away September 5, 2011; James at the residence and Cecelia at Brian's House Hospice of Davison. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski and Rev. Fr. George Puraidam M.S.F.S. concelebrants. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors for Jim under the auspices of the Davison American Legion Post # 4087. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. On Sunday, there will be visitation in the chapel at the church for one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus Council #4090-St. Martin’s Wheelchair Fund (checks payable to Davison Knights of Columbus) or St. John the Evangelist Church.

James was born in Flint on April 11, 1925, son of the late John and Victoria (Celusniak) Marshall. Cecelia was born in Flint on January 25, 1927, daughter of the late Konstonty and Florence (Szatkiewski) Pulinski. James proudly served his country with the U. S. Army during WWII. He was stationed in England. Jim and Cecelia celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Jim was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Davison Council # 4090. He retired from Buick-Motor Division, Flint, MI. Cecelia was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Regina Coeli Circle, of Davison. She was a past secretary for St. Agnes Catholic School.

Jim and Cecelia are survived by their sons, James G. (Liz) Marshall and David (Patti) Marshall; grandchildren, Lisa Geloneck, David (Shelley) Geloneck, Michelle (Pastor, Matthew) Smith, James (Alicia) Marshall, Rebecca (Scott) Merz and Kayte Connell; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Chloe, Madelyn, Abby, Joey, Alexis, Emmie and Preston; son-in-law, David Geloneck; Cecelia’s sisters, Violet Dunjak and Judy Crawford; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. They were preceded in death by their daughters, Karen Geloneck, Cheryl Marshall-Morris and Deanna Marshall; Jim’s sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (James) Benner and Cecelia’s brother and sister-in-law, Leonard (Wanda) Pulinski.
