MCNEAL, Charles KB8NOE – of Clio, formerly of Millington, age 81, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at home surrounded by the love of his family. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service at this time.
Charles was born on Christmas Eve, 1944, in Millington, to the late Charles and Agnes (Smith) McNeal. He attended Millington High School and went on to work for General Motors, retiring as a forklift driver after 43 years of employment. On July 9, 1965, he married his beloved wife, Janice Munsell, and together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Charles had a passion for HAM radio and was known by his call sign, KB8NOE. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, camping, and keeping up with the Detroit Lions. Nothing, however, compared to the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren. Charles will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Charles is forever loved by: Wife, Janice McNeal; Daughters: Tina (Joe) LeClaire and Michele (Bill) Burger; Grandchildren: Austin (Jordan) Slemp, Billy Burger, Brenden Burger, Matthew Burger, Luke LeClaire, and Melissa Burger; Great Granddaughter, Hadley Slemp; Siblings: Robert (Susan) McNeal and Barbara McCallen; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Charles was preceded in death by: Son, Michael McNeal; Parents, Charles and Agnes; Brothers-in-law, Duane McCallon and Allen Munsell; Father and Mother-in-law, Arnold and Doris Munsell. |
