O’Brien, Gary M. Of Swartz Creek, age 70, died suddenly, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
Gary was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Edwin and Dona (Gagner) O’Brien. He married Christine Draves in Flint on February 28, 1981. Gary was employed at Nelson’s Collision for 38 years and retired from Citizens Insurance. He enjoyed golfing and hunting at his cabin up north. Gary was a handyman who had a great sense of humor. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Gary is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine; daughter, Jenny and husband Tony Abdella; son, Gary and wife Callie O’Brien; granddaughters, Brooklyn and Beckett; grandson, Colin; brother, Thomas and wife Linda O’Brien; sisters, Carol Popadich, Christine and husband Stewart Gates; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and several close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Charley Popadich. |
