Ruth M. Priestley, age 96, died on Monday, March 19, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 Our Risen lord Lutheran Church, 4040 Lapeer Rd., Burton – time to be determined. The Reverend Susan Lidums officiating. Family will be present two hours before services to greet friends. Mrs. Priestley graduated from Temple University School of Nursing and the University of Michigan - School of Public Health. She served in the Army Nurse Crops during WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Sr. on July 18, 2016. She is survived by daughters: Jean Holland and Charlotte (Robert) Peterson; sons, John M. Jr. (Kim), Thomas (Barbara), and James; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Rise Lord’s Organ Fund of to the charity of the donor’s choice. |
