LAVELLE, TERRENCE “TERRY”- Of Swartz Creek, age 77, died Friday, October 31, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys.
Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation will be held at 10am on Saturday till the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
Terry was born in Flint on December 30, 1947, the son of the late Joseph and Luella (Mallon) LaVelle.
He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1968 to 1970. He received a national defense medal and parachute badge.
Terry married Anne Grimes in Flushing on January 19, 1985.
He enjoyed Michigan football, all of the Detroit sports teams, loved golf and watching game shows. Terry enjoyed traveling, and most of all he loved spending time with his family, friends and his dogs Murphy and Lucy.
He belonged to the Flint Elks Club and worked in sales for many years.
Surviving are wife Anne; sons, Matt and wife Jennah LaVelle, Chris LaVelle;
Grandchildren, Paisley and Maverick; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bill, sister Mary and many dear friends.
