COLEMAN, Audrey Fay (Herriman) – of Burton, MI, age 64, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Brent T. Sloan officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Gracelawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-5 PM Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Davison Missionary Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pink Hugs, Flint Children’s Museum or the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Audrey’s memory. In accordance with State Mandated Guidelines, masks are required, social distancing must be observed and limitations on the number of people in attendance will be enforced.
Audrey was born in Great Lakes, IL on November 4, 1956, daughter of Rosetta (Varner) Gratsch and the late Vernon Herriman. She married James Charles Coleman on October 4, 1986. Audrey was employed for 28 years with R.P.F. Oil Company. She was also a co-owner with her husband, James, of Colberg Radiator. Audrey’s kind and compassionate heart was evident as she volunteered her time to numerous support groups and after school programs. She also enjoyed supporting her husband with various Odd-Fellows activities. Audrey was also actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, encouraging both of her sons as they each achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. She was very interested in genealogy and often assisted in organizing family reunions.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband, James Charles Coleman; 2 sons, Vernon Edward (Malana) Coleman and Timothy James (Holly) Coleman; 2 grandchildren, Braden and Loralyi Fay; 4 siblings, Michael (Trudy) Herriman, Lillian “Darlene” Dolkey, Mitchell (Lisa) Herriman and Vicki (Tom) Campbell; mother, Rosetta Gratsch; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Herriman.
