Carol was born on December 24, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer and Florence Taylor. She graduated from West High School in Cleveland and later attended Baker College in Flint. Carol met her husband, Harry Hallman, while touring the ships, where Harry, a United States Marine, happened to be her tour guide. The two married on March 6, 1965, in Cleveland. Carol worked in retail for much of her life, including at TG&Y and McCrory in Clio, before retiring from Welcome Home in Birch Run. Not quite ready to slow down, she later worked as a teacher’s assistant for Ms. Jan and Mrs. Neelands. After officially retiring, Carol and Harry enjoyed spending time at their cabin in the Upper Peninsula. After selling the cabin, they began wintering in Florida with their good friends, Bob and Carol Lawrence, where Carol loved going on adventures with her Florida friends. When she wasn’t in Florida, Carol enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center with her friends, Connie and Arlene. She treasured her endless conversations with Carol Lawrence and Bea Leighton, going out to dinner with her family, and especially her Friday visits with her great-grandson, Carter.

Surviving is daughter Christine & John Huff, son, David & Patty Hallman. Grandchildren; Aaron & Shelby Huff, Chad Huff, Haley Holder, Corin Hollingsworth and Chelsea Hollingsworth. Great Grandson, Carter Huff. Sister Donna Smith, brother and sister in laws: Victor & Cecilia Hallman, Robert & Kelly Hallman, Michael & Marilyn Hallman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; granddaughter, Allison; parents, sisters; Elma, Judy and Karen.

Special thank you to Connie Schofield and Arlene Zook for keeping our mom active and the Kingsbury family for being her “adoptive family” when she moved here from Ohio and to Carol Lawrence and Bea Leighton for the endless phone conversations.
