STARR, LUCILLE V.- Of Owosso, age 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at The Meadows of Owosso.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, November 10, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Wayne Starr officiating.
Visitation will be held 4-7 Sunday, November 9, 2025, and at 10am Monday till the time of service.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Owosso Memorial Hospice.
Lucille was born in Lanton, Missouri on September 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Wayne and Bethel (Newcomb) Decker.
Lucille married Neil Starr in Toledo Ohio on December 26, 1972, and he preceded in death on February 28, 2024.
She was a avid reader, loved being with her grandchildren and she has a special place in her heart for her great grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn McLean, Susan (Jerry) Ethridge, Jean Flewelling and Jill (Scott) Hall;
Grandchildren, Stefanie (Justin) Brisbin, Jessika Kelly, Lisa (Brian) Oakman, Amanda Oakman, Seneca (Blake) Ketzler, Laura (Kelly) Flewelling and Zach Stocker;
Great grandchildren, Benjamin, Beau, Bella, Caroline, Audrey, Gage, Tyler, Nova, Rylee, Harper, Raylin and Lainey, Gracesyn;
Stepchildren, Debbie (Andy)Kane and family, Denise (Dennis)King and family;
Dear friend, Tom Oginsky.
The family would like to thank The Meadows and Memorial Hospice for the wonderful care that Lucille received there.
Special thanks to Geri and her therapy dog Gus.
Special thanks to Wayne and Verlyne Starr for their support.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Doug Starr, great granddaughter, Gracie Cummins, sons-in-law, Bill McLean and Jim Flewelling.
