Sally Ann (Perkins) Bergman, age 78, of Black River, Michigan, formerly of Flushing, died peacefully Monday, January 12, 2015 at Courtyard Manor in Fenton. Born October 16, 1936 in Flint, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Don and Myrtle (Snyder) Perkins. Sally was a former preschool teacher and secretary for Flushing Community Schools and a longtime member of the Craftmakers’ Cabin in Harrisville, Michigan. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, baking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family on her beloved beach along Lake Huron. Sally was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Clarence “Bud” Bergman. She is survived by her three children: Jim Bergman of Denver, Colorado; SueAnn and Louis Krch of Marysville, Ohio; Beth and Jeff Kremkow of Holly, Michigan. She dearly loved her grandchildren Aaron Wick, Caleb Wick, Jake Kremkow, Makena Bergman, and Kristopher Kremkow as well as many nieces, nephews and relatives. Sally is also survived by her sister Jean Engberg and brother-in-law Walt Engberg of Hubbard Lake, Michigan and a sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Memorial visitation for Sally will be held from 10 am-1 pm and 4-7 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Rd, Flint, Michigan. Cremains will be interred at a later date at the Great Lakes National Cemetery alongside her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Sturgeon Point Lighthouse, care of the Alcona Historical Society, PO Box 174, Harrisville, Michigan 48740.
