Evelyn Sue Keway of Goodrich, age 93, died Tuesday December 26, 2023 at Courtyard Manor, Fenton. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held on Monday January 22, 2024 at 1:00pm at Goodrich United Methodist Church 8071 S. State Rd. Goodrich MI, 48438 with Rev. Nick Berlanga officiating. Private burial will be in Goodrich Cemetery.

Sue was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Lynwood and Marion (Seeley) Lovell. She was joined in marriage to Peter Frick on March 5, 1949. Together they converted her family farm into the Goodrich Country Club, which they owned and operated from 1962 to 1971. Sue was later joined in marriage to Philip Keway on October 26, 1973 and subsequently moved to Lake City. During their marriage they shared the enjoyment of nature, traveling, college sports and loved their golden retrievers Sammy, Brandy and Mandy.

She owned and operated an antique store in Lake City called Sue’s Treasure Trove. She and Phil enjoyed going to auctions in search of inventory for the store. Phil preceded her in death on March 18, 2010. After Phil’s death she returned to Goodrich, where she lived for the last 13 years of her life. Sue was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

Sue leaves to cherish her memory: son Peter (Anne) Frick, daughter Mary Jo (Mark) Baldwin and her stepchildren: Linda (David) Keway-Prong, Michele (Mike) Eising, and Todd Keway. She leaves her loving fourteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. Sue is survived by her sister JoAnn Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Dean Lovell and her sister Barbara Dooley.
