Saunders, Rose Marie of Davison, age 83, died Monday, August 4, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Brad Lake will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rose was born in Flint, Michigan on December 6, 1941, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Phillips) Nelson. She married Robert Saunders on May 10, 1969, in Flint. She worked at the East Side Bakery and later at Jablonski’s Bakery for over 20 years. Rose was also employed by Flint Plastics and Metal Form. She was an active member of Weight Watchers and Tops. Rose enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. She loved hosting family gatherings and enjoyed cooking and baking. Rose was strong in her faith and read her Bible daily. She enjoyed traveling up north, especially to Pinconning, Hale, and Tawas. She collected butterflies, robins and bears. Her family, but most importantly, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Rose is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob”; children, Larry A. Glosch, Lois (Patty) Halliday, Rhonda Kopp, Jerry Lee (Billie) Saunders; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Gloria) Nelson; sister, Ruth Foglesonger; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jolene. She was preceded in death by her children, Roy Franklin Glosch and Ruthie Marie Glosch; and her parents.
