ROBERTS, Doreen Cecile (Savage) – of Flint, age 78, passed away April 22, 2017 at her residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Robert Kolenski celebrant. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kindred at Home Hospice.
Doreen was born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada on March 18, 1939, daughter of the late Ubald “Frank” and Antoinette (Villars) Savage. She married Derek Roberts on December 27, 1956 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Doreen is survived by her husband, Derek Roberts; children, Christine (Thomas) Livingston, Denise Kehoe, Brian (Sherri) Roberts and Michelle (Mike) Barnette; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Gay (Gerry) Lacoursiere. She was preceded in death by grandson, Thomas Livingston II.
