NAYLOR, LeVearne L. “Vern” – Of Flint, age 79, died Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Pastor Ron Osborn officiating.
Visitation 4-7pm Tuesday and 12pm Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.

Vern was born in Boaz, Alabama on July 22, 1946 the son of the late Luke and Jewel (Williams) Naler. On March 31, 2001 he married Tracy Thomas in Flint, Michigan. He owned and operated Dault Landscaping. Vern was a member of the Well Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, building World War II model cars and collecting stamps and coins and also his chihuahuas Pixey and Trixie.
Surviving are wife, Tracy;
Daughter, Melinda and husband Brent McDowell;
Step-daughter, Christen and husband Dewey Taylor;
Step-grandchildren, Jackson and Kamryn McDowell;
Father-in-law, Jim Sumner;
Brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Jerilynn Sumner, Greg and Kelly Foley and Cecil and Cheryl Miller
And several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Orval and Donald Naler, sister, Ovell Friend, step-daughter, Ayanna Thomas and mother-in-law, Pat Sumner.
