Mr. Reginald Richardson was born September 28, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Jesse and Alma Richardson. In 1985, Reggie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Baker College.
Reggie began his life of faith at an early age and was a committed member of Destiny Generation Church, formerly known as New Generation Holiness Center Church International. There he was active in the ushers’ ministry and men’s ministry, he supported Outreach activities, and could always be counted on to ensure order in the house of God. His praise and worship were unmistakable.

In the past few years of his life, his business was his therapy.

Reggie’s career in politics began in 1974 when he was elected an official of the Flint Board of Education, holding the offices of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary through 1981. He represented the Board of Education on the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Board from 1977-1979. He served on the Michigan School Boards, Board of Directors from 1978-1981. On June 29, 2000, special honors were bestowed upon him by Mayor Woodrow Stanley for his years of dedicated service as Executive Director of the City of Flint Housing Commission, proclaiming Reginald Richardson Day. On that same day, Congressman Dale E. Kildee awarded him a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for his outstanding and invaluable service to the community.
