HARMAN, Charles “Charlie” A. - of Davison, MI, age 98, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 27, 2018. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, 7306 East Atherton Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Shawn Kook officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 9-11 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist School, in Charlie’s memory.
Charlie was born in Flint, MI on January 2, 1920, son of the late Arthur and Gertie (Nemire) Harmon. He married Alice Brock on March 21, 1946 at North Baptist Church and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2010. Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He resided in the Flint area all of his life and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Charlie was an avid bowler, bowling until he was 95 years old. He retired from Flint Sausage Works in 1985 after 48 years of service.
Charlie is survived by son, Charles D. Harman of Grand Blanc, MI; daughter, Gail (Kenneth) Larke of Davison, MI; 3 grandchildren, Molly Ijames of Davison, MI, Erin (Jonathan) Jarrett of Salt Lake City, UT and Lori Harman of Burton, MI; 8 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by grandson, Chad Harman and sister, Doris Pusztai.
Charlie was loved by all and lived to serve his family.
