Thomas “Tom” Hosea London, of Lennon/Burton, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. He was 84 years old.
Born July 18, 1941, in Independence County, Arkansas he was the son of Leon Thomas and Dovie Alice (Hurst) London. He graduated from Flint Central High School. Tom retired from GM Buick where he worked as a machine repairman. He was an avid fisherman; in his younger years he was a champion roller skater and pool player. He was an avid racing fan, building and racing late models and modifieds for many years and loved Nascar and Sprint car racing as well. Tom enjoyed hanging out with family, friends, and going out to see his favorite band, Rodéo Drive whenever they were playing.
Tom is survived by his children, son Alan Thomas London and daughter Sherrie Kay London; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchild and his longtime partner Sue Warren as well as his extended family daughters Jeri Bell (Andrew Clark), Jodi (Larsi) Skrudland and Debrina Johnson , sons Wesley (Susan) Warren and Shannon (Christie) Warren, nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Vanessa Parr, and two brothers-in-law Neil (Julie) Copeland and Terry (Sherryl) Copeland, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon London and one brother Warren Neal London.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 6:00pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473, with Michael Barker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until time of the service. |
