We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Joe during his 69 years. He has educated us with his experiences, taught us with his words and actions, entertained us with his immense stories, and most importantly supported us with simply being there.

Joe was born on July 13th, 1948 in Georgetown Ohio to Joe and Nettie Quinlan.

Growing up Joe made it known what he wanted and made sure it would happen, and on his own terms.
Joe was an avid fan of Nascar and was known to tell a joke or two..he was a communicator with everyone no matter if you were a friend or foe – Joe never met a stranger.

Joe had an assortment of wonderful jobs he enjoyed from working in the army as an operating medical technician to working with horses, becoming educated through sales and transporting many loads of goods to people for over 25 years. Joe always had great stories of life lessons that he shared with many. And what Joe learned, he never forgot.
Joe met Barb Smith(Quinlan) at his sister’s baby shower and took her for a ride in his GTO with his other sister Peggy. The next day Joe asked Barb for another date. Barb originally declined but after Joe’s stellar communication, Barb agreed and they have been married since April 4, 1969 which took place in Mt. Orab, Ohio.

Joe is a family man, he was very protective of his younger sister Vicky and took many lessons from his brother Ron who cared for him very much. Joe also welcomed Josh Quinlan into his home which brought such happiness into many people in Joe’s life. Josh is a great man and is an example of Barb and Joe’s upbringing.

Joe always stood up for his beliefs and would assist with anyone that needed help emotionally or physically.

Joe packed a lot of living and giving into his short life and we are all so thankful to God for giving him to us for this amount of time. We just hope Joe knows how thankful we are.

Joe means so much to all that knows him and he is a special person that really brightens up the darkest day. His smile warms hearts and those who have received Joe’s love will never, ever forget that feeling.

When tomorrow starts without Joe and he isn’t here to see, and the sun rises to find our eyes filled with tears, know that you aren’t far apart. For every time, you think of Joe - He is right there in your heart.

As we look back we only hope that we thanked Joe enough for all he has done, for all the times he has been there for so many – to help and support our problems and success, he has taught us by example, the value of hard work, good judgment, courage and integrity. We hope Joe knows how much he has meant to us and contributed to all our lives.

Joe has made it home. God is taking care of him and he is in the shelter of his hands.
