Archie Lenual Stroub Jr., 73, of Durand, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 15, 2021. Private family service will be held.
Archie was born on August 14, 1947 in Wayne, Michigan to the late Archie Lenual Sr. and Pearl (Cartwright) Stroub. He graduated from Durand High School and attended Mott Community College. On February 24, 1968 Archie married Carol Ann Code in Durand. Archie served his country faithfully in the United States Navy, when he returned from the Navy he went to work as a police officer in Owosso and later went to work for General Motors, retiring as a supervisor. He was a lifetime member of the Durand VFW, AM Vets, and the Eagles Club, he spent a term on the Durand School Board, and was very involved with the Durand Band as a chaperone for many band camps and multiple band competitions. He also loved supporting his grandkids at sporting events, musical performances and scout activities.
Archie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol, their children; Tracy (Joanna Force) Goss, Tamara (Kenneth) Pittsley, and Tina (Christopher) Tallman, also his 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and faithful dog Domino. His siblings; Kip (Brenda Swogger) Stroub, Todd (Nancy Mosciski) Stroub, and cousin Paul Cartwright Jr. who was like a brother.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Roland Stroub.
