It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Ann Hicks Tibbetts, age 82, of Flushing, Michigan, who left this world peacefully on July 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Kathleen found delight in the simple pleasures. She had a special fondness for watching game shows, particularly those hosted by Steve Harvey, where her laughter and enthusiasm could be heard echoing through the house. Her green thumb brought beauty to her yard, where she spent a myriad of hours tending to her plants, small farm, and flowers, creating a serene oasis for her family to enjoy.
In addition to her love for working in her yard, she had a passion for capturing memories. She loved taking pictures and making videos with her family, ensuring that every precious moment was preserved for future generations.
A true connoisseur of chocolate, Kathleen loved everything chocolate and had a sweet tooth that was well-known among her family and friends.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband; David Tibbetts of Flushing, MI, son; Jeffrey (Kim) Hartley of Pinconning, MI, daughter; Michele (Patrick) Pray of Mount Morris, MI, son; Michael Tibbetts of Flushing, MI, and daughter; Tiffanie (Brian) of Wisconsin, grandchildren; Tricia (Stacey), Samantha (Jeremy), Sarah, Michael, Katie, Kallie, Nicole (Nick), Lauren (Troy), Vaughn (Ryan), Spencer (Eric) and 6 great-grandchildren, siblings; Margaret (Patrick) Mullally of Clio, MI, George (RaeLynn) Hicks of Swartz Creek, MI, Arthur (Linda) Hicks, San Antonio, TX, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and the countless memories they created together. Preceded in death by her loving son Russell Tibbetts, brother; James Hicks and her parents Robert and Clara Hicks.
A funeral visitation for Kathleen will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433. A rosary service will occur on Sunday, July at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior to service at Reigle Funeral Home in Flushing, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital Research, a cause that was close to Kathleen's heart.
