Dolores S. Smith, age 92, of Linden, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The Visitation will be held from 2PM - 8PM on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Home - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Visitation will resume the next day at 10AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11AM on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Home - Miller Road Chapel. Dolores will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Linden, Michigan. Online condolences can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
Dolores was born on January 1, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Fred & Irene Coverdill. She married Roger C. Smith on June 30, 1951. Dolores worked for many years at the Fair Store in Flint and later retired from Genesee Valley as a service representative. Dolores loved her family very much and took great pride in their accomplishments. Dolores was a member of the Halsey Grand Blanc United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the American Red Cross.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger; four sons; Clark of Panama City, FL, Mark (Sue) of Vernon, Bryan of Grand Blanc and Phillip of Swartz Creek; four grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Holly and Nicole; great-granddaughter, Ava Lynn. Dolores is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Irene; brothers, William, Bob & Bruce, and sisters, Gloria Anderson & Winifred McClure.
