FISHKIN, Sherwin Howard - Age 77, of Flushing, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Rabbi Yisroel Weingarten officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
Sherwin was born February 27, 1946 in Flint, the son of Hyman and Bessie (Fleischer) Fishkin. He was a 1964 graduate of Flint Central High School and he received a Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Economic from the University of Michigan. He married Ilene Marsha Benson November 3, 1975 in Flint. He had resided in Flushing for the past 48 years coming from Flint. Sherwin owned and operated Income Tax America. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel and was involved with Chabad House-Lubavitch of Eastern Michigan. He enjoyed collecting antiques, going to the Theater and attending Rabbi Weingarten's services.
Surviving are: his wife, Ilene; son, Nathan (Sarah) Fishkin of Weymouth, MA; grandchildren, Eliza and Benjamin; brothers-in-law, Frederick (Korina) Benson of Colorado and Leonard (Laura) Benson of Colorado; sisters-in-law, Toby Wollner of Massachusetts and Elaine Coldiron of Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hyman and Bessie Fishkin; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Wollner and Lewis Coldiron. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
