HARRINGTON, Lisa Marie (Gielda) - of Clio, age 54, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Mr. Don O'Guinn officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-9 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service.
Lisa was born February 5, 1964, in Bay City, MI, daughter of Walter and Marjorie (Prior) Gielda. She was a graduate of Bay City All Saints High School. Lisa and Mike Harrington were united in marriage May 18, 1985 in Bay City. Lisa was co-owner of the Genesee County Herald, Inc., where she worked as a graphic designer and circulation coordinator. She enjoyed dancing, golf, concerts, casinos and Detroit Tigers baseball. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2011, she helped in the establishment of Clio Fighting MS, a local charitable organization formed to assist those stricken with the disease.
Lisa is survived by: Husband, Mike Harrington; Daughter, Alison (Nick) Carr; Granddaughter, Jaelyn; Sister, Kathie (Chuck) Manning of Alger; Brothers: John (Sheryl) Gielda of Prescott and Dave (Trisha) Gielda of Bay City; Father-in-law, John Harrington (Mary Booth); Brother-in-law Jeff (Kathy) Harrington; many nieces, nephews and friends.
