Bair, Donald Lee - Age 87, of Fenton, formerly of Burton, died peacefully early in the morning on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Thursday, October 8 at the funeral home. Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, October 9, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta St, Burton, Michigan 48509 with Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski as celebrant and visitation at the church from 9 AM - 10AM. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to Blessed Sacrament or the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Don was born August 29, 1939 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Orville C. and Emily (Boroff) Bair. He married his wife, Joan Lynne Higgins, on February 13, 1962.
Don was passionate about his work as a Route Salesman for Koegel's Meats, with 39 years of service. Outside of work, he was a longtime faithful member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and loved riding Harley Davison motorcycles with his brothers Junior and Ray and cousin Andy. His talent for restoring vintage cars won him many prizes at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival in Indiana and he was a cofounder of Flint’s Back to the Bricks vintage car celebration. Don was also an avid pet lover for the entirety of his life, with a dog always by his family’s side and even a horse he bought himself as a boy. He will be remembered most of all as a devout husband, father and papa.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years Joan; children, Don (Kathy) Bair, Cristy Elder, Kelly (Greg) Finley, Mark (Nancy) Bair; grandchildren, Derik, Duston, Cayla, Brianna, Elizabeth and Emily; great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Walker; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Emily Bair; and siblings, Orville "Junior" Bair, Jenita Jobson, and Raymond Bair.
