Christopher Michael Most, known to family and friends as Chris, passed away on August 9, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 44. He was born on April 13, 1982, in Pontiac, Michigan, and lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, generosity, and a wonderful sense of humor that touched everyone who knew him.
Chris was the beloved son of Tina (Richard) Most and Michael (Barb) Most and the cherished brother of Marily (Ronnie) Thompson. He was also a treasured member of his extended family, who will remember him with love and gratitude for the many ways he brought warmth and laughter into their lives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne and Marie Most, Alex and Marilyn Madrigal, and his uncle, Myron Spandgenburg.
From an early age, Chris showed a strong work ethic and a natural talent for the trades. He began working in plumbing when he was just 15 years old, and over the years he built a career he truly loved. As a master plumber, he took great pride in his work and was respected for his skill, reliability, and dedication. He approached every job with determination and care, and he found satisfaction in doing things the right way. His commitment to his craft reflected the kind of person he was, steady, capable, and always willing to give his best.
Outside of work, Chris enjoyed racing and building RC cars, a hobby that combined his love of speed, precision, and creativity. He also enjoyed video games and pickle ball, finding joy in both friendly competition and time spent doing what he loved. Whether he was working with his hands, competing in a race, or spending time with a game controller in hand, Chris brought enthusiasm and energy to the things he loved. He had a creative mind and a playful spirit, and those qualities made him especially memorable to those around him.
Though his time here was far too short, Chris leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories. His family and friends will hold close the many moments of laughter, the examples of his dedication, and the quiet acts of kindness that spoke so clearly of his character. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
