Ballou, Nellie "Lagretta" - Age 80, of Mount Morris, died July 16, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettle officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society.
Lagretta was born December 6, 1940 in Chevrolet, Kentucky, the daughter of Paul Isaac and Sarah I. (Gentry ) Wagner. She married George Edward Ballou on February 19, 1959 in Harlan, Kentucky. She was a caregiver to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her pets. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, gospel music and was an avid NASCAR fan.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Nancy) Ballou, Tony (Margie) Ballou, Kim LaFeldt, and George Ballou II; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Nancy Moss, Ben Wagner, Mildred Hodge, Mona Wadsworth, Pat Parker, Robert Wagner, and Richard Wagner; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Ballou; siblings, John Paul Wagner, Stanley Wagner, Sharon Hodge; and son-in-law, Bill LaFeldt.
